Add to Cart Bug

If you are trying to add a custom item to your cart, but it keeps ticking up one and then purging, there is a simple fix:

Register an account, or log in to an existing account.

I understand the inconvenience this causes and am sincerely sorry. I am looking for a reason for this bug, and how to properly fix it.
